India’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations will co-host two special events on Monday, October 5 and Thursday, October 8.

The first event, to be held on October 5, is titled “Women’s Role in Advancing Security and Peace” and will be co-hosted with the Delegation of the European Union. The event will celebrate the International Day of the Girl Child, and will bring together leaders in the areas of gender and security to discuss the role of women in advancing global security and peace.

The second event, to be held on October 8, is titled “Towards an Inclusive and Sustainable Future: Private Sector Engagement in the Sustainable Development Goals”. This event will be co-hosted with the Delegation of Chile and will focus on the role of the private sector in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. It will also provide an opportunity for UN Member States to share their experiences and successes in engaging with the private sector to achieve the SDGs.
