In 2000, Infosys Technologies Ltd. became the first Indian company to be listed on the US Stock Exchange. It was the first Indian technology company to be listed on the Nasdaq. The IPO was oversubscribed 8.7 times, making it one of the most successful IPOs at the time. It raised $169 million, making it the largest IPO by an Indian company in the US. Since its listing, the company has grown exponentially, becoming one of the most successful Indian companies in the world.
