According to local media reports, a convoy of vehicles belonging to Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan was involved in an accident while travelling from Islamabad to Peshawar on Monday. The accident occurred near the Mardan interchange on the motorway.
The convoy was reportedly travelling in a motorcade when the accident occurred. The vehicles involved in the accident reportedly included a bulletproof Mercedes Benz and a Toyota Corolla. There were no reports of any serious injuries or fatalities in the accident.
The Prime Minister’s office has yet to issue a statement on the incident. It is unclear if Mr. Khan was present in the convoy when the accident occurred.
