Jacqueline Gold: the woman who introduced sex to Oxford Street

Jacqueline Gold is an English businesswoman who has been credited with introducing the concept of sex to the High Street. She is best known for being the CEO of Ann Summers, a British retailer specializing in lingerie, sex toys and other erotic products.

Gold is also the founder of Knickerbox, a lingerie and nightwear retailer, and has served as a non-executive director of the lingerie company Agent Provocateur. She is an advocate of women’s rights and has been an outspoken supporter of the #MeToo movement. Gold has been recognised for her entrepreneurship and has been awarded an OBE for services to the retail industry in 2008.
