India and Indonesia are expected to further expand their strategic partnership in the air force domain. India has already offered to collaborate with Indonesia in the field of aircraft maintenance and training, as well as in the development of a range of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). India could also offer to help Indonesia in the development of its air force’s C-130J fleet, which is currently being upgraded. India has also expressed an interest in helping Indonesia develop its fighter jet capabilities, and has offered to transfer its expertise in this area.
India could also help Indonesia upgrade its existing Sukhoi fighter jets, and help develop an indigenous fighter jet program. India could also extend its support in the field of air defense systems and help Indonesia in the development of its air defense radar networks. With growing ties between the two countries, there is potential for the two sides to further expand their strategic partnership in the air force domain.
