The combined Q4 net profit for Bank of Baroda increased by 158% to Rs 5,255 crore

State-run Bank of Baroda on Wednesday reported a 158% jump in its consolidated net profit for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2021 to Rs 5,255 crore, compared to Rs 2,035 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.

The board of directors approved the financial results for the quarter and year ended March 31, 2021. The bank’s net interest income (NII) for the quarter under review rose to Rs 11,416 crore from Rs 8,228 crore in the year-ago period.

Total income for the quarter stood at Rs 24,161 crore, up from Rs 17,882 crore a year ago. For the full year ended March 2021, the bank’s net profit jumped to Rs 8,868 crore from Rs 2,977 crore in the year-ago period.

The bank’s net interest income (NII) for the year rose to Rs 39,535 crore from Rs 33,717 crore in the year-ago period. Total income for the year stood at Rs 79,248 crore, up from Rs 63,307 crore a year ago.
