U.S. Senator Robert Menendez (D-NJ) recently denounced Florida Governor Ron DeSantis as a “profoundly ignorant man” for his remarks about Mexico. During a press conference, DeSantis had suggested that Mexico was to blame for the surge of migrants at the U.S. border. Menendez criticized the Governor’s comments, accusing him of “fear-mongering” and “demonizing” Mexico. He also called DeSantis’ remarks “offensive and wrong.”
