The mayor’s race in Toronto has drawn over 100 candidates, including one dog, ahead of the upcoming election in October. The canine candidate, Baloo, is running with the slogan “A Paw Above the Rest” and is affiliated with the Animal Alliance of Canada.

If elected, Baloo promises to bring a “positive, inclusive, and transparent leadership” to the city. Other candidates include current Toronto Mayor John Tory, former city councillor Doug Ford, and former Toronto chief planner Jennifer Keesmaat. The election will take place on October 22.
