Former UK Prime Minister Theresa May has warned against appeasing China over its policies in Taiwan, saying that such a move would be too obvious for the world to miss. May stressed the need for the international community to stand up for the rights of the people of Taiwan and to make it clear that any attempt by Beijing to undermine their autonomy and independence will not be tolerated. She further warned that any attempt to do so would have serious consequences for China’s international credibility and reputation, as well as its relations with other countries. May urged the international community to remain united in its commitment to upholding the rule of law and defending fundamental freedoms and human rights.
