Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ), India’s largest private multi-port operator, has handled a record rail cargo of over 120 million metric tonnes (MMT) in the financial year 2021-22. The company has achieved the highest-ever rail cargo handled in a financial year, registering a growth of 10 percent over the previous financial year.
APSEZ has also achieved the highest-ever cargo handled in a month at 15.1 MMT in March 2021, registering a growth of 14 percent over last year. The total cargo handled by the company in FY21 was 112 MMT.
The company handled cargo across its nine ports – Mundra, Dahej, Hazira, Dhamra, Mormugao, Visakhapatnam, Kattupalli, Ennore and Kattupalli. The cargo handled by APSEZ includes bulk cargo such as iron ore, coal, fertilizer, steel, containers, and other general cargo.
