Following the passing of Taylor Hawkins, Josh Freese joins the band as the drummer

Foo Fighters confirmed in January 2020 that Josh Freese had joined the band as their new drummer after the passing of founding member Taylor Hawkins in November 2019.

Freese is an accomplished session drummer who has worked with a variety of artists including Nine Inch Nails, Queens of the Stone Age, Guns N’ Roses, and Weezer. The band has said that Freese brings immense talent and positive energy to the table, and the Foo Fighters hope to tour with Freese as soon as it is safe to do so.
