Target has removed some LGBTQ products from its shelves after receiving online threats from anti-LGBTQ activists. In a statement, Target said it “listened to feedback from guests” and made the decision to no longer carry certain items featuring rainbow patterns and references to LGBTQ pride.
The company said the decision was in line with its “commitment to inclusivity and diversity in every aspect of our business.” It also noted that it remains “firmly committed to supporting the LGBTQ+ community.” The retailer added that it will continue to offer an assortment of items that its guests may find suitable for celebrating Pride.
