The Colorado National Guard is commemorating Memorial Day this year with a series of F-16 flyovers across the state. From May 24th to May 27th, the Colorado Air National Guard will take to the skies with two F-16 Falcon fighters in a display of respect and remembrance for those who have served and given their lives in service to the nation.
The flyovers will start on the morning of May 24th at Buckley Air Force Base in Aurora, Colorado and then proceed to several sites throughout the state including Falcon Air Force Base in Colorado Springs, Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Fort Carson, and Avondale.
The flyovers are expected to take approximately 30 minutes and will occur at three different times of day: morning, afternoon, and evening. These flyovers are intended to be a visible show of respect for the men and women who have given all in service to our nation.
