Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to France will help to strengthen India-France partnership for decades to come. France is India’s oldest strategic partner and there has been a steady and progressive strengthening of ties between the two countries bilaterally and internationally.
The French Ambassador to India Alexandre Ziegler said that the visit would have a positive and tangible impact on the relationship between the two countries. He also noted that France has always supported India in its journey to becoming a stronger power in the international arena, and that the two countries share various positions on key global issues.
Ambassador Ziegler added that the visit will give an opportunity to the two countries to further strengthen ties in various areas such as security, education, culture, counter-terrorism, renewable energy, space technology, defence and digital economy. He also highlighted the cooperation between the two countries in the field of civil nuclear energy and said that it was a great example of the breadth of the strategic partnership between India and France.
