The United Kashmir People’s National Party (UKPNP) strongly opposes any form of terrorism, no matter what the motivation. We believe that violence and terrorism have no place in a peaceful world, and that they are in stark contrast to the effort to build a just and positive future for the people of the disputed region of Kashmir.
We support peace and reconciliation in the region, with a resolution based on the principle of self-determination and the right of the people of Kashmir to decide their own destiny. We urge all parties involved to resolve the conflict and differences through dialogue and meaningful negotiations, while respecting the aspirations and rights of all people.
We condemn those forces who seek to spread fear and unrest through the use of terrorism and violence as an instrument of policy. We further propose the initiation of a sincere, result-oriented and sustained dialogue process, so that the people of Kashmir can lead their lives with dignity and respect.
